Desi Style Takeaway in Manchester is an absolute gem for anyone craving real Desi comfort food. The flavours are spot-on — rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the freshness in every dish. Their biryani is one of the best in town — full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The grilled items, especially the seekh kebabs and chicken tikka, are juicy and full of that smoky, traditional taste. The naan is always fresh and soft, just the way it should be. Service is quick and friendly, and the portions are generous for the price. It’s clear the team takes pride in serving proper Desi-style food, not watered-down versions. If you’re in Manchester and craving authentic Desi takeaway, this place should be at the top of your list!
Stumbled across this place by chance on the TooGoodToGo app. Ordered 3x "magic bags" for £3.33 each. I've got to be honest I didn't know what to expect and I've not had much experience with "Desi" style authentic Indian food. I collected trays all containing identical veg curries and 3 breads which I believe are Rotis. Kind of like naan bread but a lot denser. First impression trying the curry was very good for a vegetable dish. Part of it was chickpea based, part I think was maybe broccoli and spinach mixed together with potato and I couldn't tell you what was in the other part but it was nice. The curries were absolutely full of flavour. Some flavours and herbs I do not recognise and don't think I've ever had before but very enjoyable. Nice little kick but not too spicy. The rice was okay. Just plain boiled white rice. If being super critical was a little too oily for my liking but 3 pretty good curries and breads for £9.99 I really can't complain. I'm curious if they always give the same food out in the mystery bags or if they ever vary up the contents and perhaps include meat dishes.
Visited this place after many years. The food quality is Okish. The portion size is generous, and the staff did try to help you with the food selection.
